Plut Support
Plut is a private, focused app for monthly budgeting, expense tracking, trips, and shared-cost repayments.
What is a business trip?
A business trip uses the same date calendar, receipt scanning, and expense tools as a personal trip. It tracks total business spending but does not require a budget or change the monthly Trips budget.
Where is my data stored?
Your core budget remains in Plut’s private app storage on your iPhone and no account is required. If you enable linked accounts, the account and transaction information you authorize is processed by Stripe and Plut’s secure Supabase service solely to provide syncing.
How do I create or restore a backup?
From Overview, open Settings. Choose Export backup to save a JSON file or Import backup to restore one. Importing a backup replaces the current app data.
How do I erase my data?
From Overview, open Settings and select Erase all data. To remove an optional sync profile too, open Linked Accounts and choose Delete connected-account profile.
Does Plut connect to a bank or credit card?
Optionally. Open Expenses, choose Linked Accounts, sign in with Apple, and connect a supported institution through Stripe. New transactions remain in the review inbox until you approve them. Manual entry, CSV import, and on-device screenshot scanning remain available.
How do I scan Chase notifications?
Open Expenses and tap the scan icon, or open a trip and choose its scan icon. Take a photo or choose up to five screenshots, review every editable draft, remove anything you do not want, then import the batch. Plut does not retain the imported images.
